Micronic Technologies was founded by Karen Sorber and Kelly Rock with the goal of developing a revolutionary wastewater cleaning technology. This desire to develop a better way to clean water stemmed from Karen's 2007 trip to Peru.
"I saw front and center, the devastating effects unclean water had on the children I visited. I didn't know how or what, but I knew I wanted to do something to help developing countries."
The company's water purification system, branded the Tornadic One-Pass™, harnesses the science and power of a tornado to clean toxic water.
Tornadic One-Pass™ removes contaminants from almost any water source and cleans to federal and state standards without using high heat, high pressure, membranes, filters, or chemicals.
The Micronic wastewater treatment technology is based on a tornadic flow device (Pod), which shears a wastewater stream into micro-droplets. The Pod has no moving parts, and the structured flow path causes a vortex. The vortex separates contaminants from the water vapor producing a near-zero liquid discharge concentrate and clean water product.
Karen brings more than 35 years of experience in building and leading private and federal organizations. She has delivered leading studies and assessments in policy, management, and the technical aspects of federal acquisition. She serves as CEO and chair of Micronic's Board of Directors.
Kelly invented Tornadic One-Pass™ and holds 15 Micronic patents, which he has assigned to the company. Rock previously invented 21 patented automotive, medical, and water technologies.
